CCMA is a composed of three different
Martial Arts. Aikido uses an opponents momentum and various types of throws/ joint locks. It is "the way of harmonious spirit." Aikido class will be instructed by Tariq Baig, 6th degree blackbelt, training in numerous Martial Arts since 1976.
Daito-Ryu Aikijujitsu Ginjukai is the earlier Japanese elite Samurai art with a heritage that goes back 8 centuries. This form is soft, subtle, yet a very powerful art designed to upset balance on contact while remaining relaxed and stable. This allows for free and effortless movement. This class will be instructed by Johnny Schu 2nd degree Blackbelt Daito-Ryu, 2nd degree Seno Ryu Aikijitsu under Grand Master Richard Behrens, 1st degree Hapkido under Grand Master John Pellegrini, training in multiple Martial Arts since 1982.
Systema is a Russian Martial art emphasizing breathing, relaxing, natural posture and movement. It is very dynamic and adaptable to any situation, with origins back to the middle ages. Class will be taught by Tom Burgess and Scott Vail, both trained by Dave Merrell and Certified and listed to teach Systema as presented by Vladimir Vasiliev and Mikhail Ryabko. Tom has 28 years of training in various Martial Arts and Kinesiology, training in Systema for 19 years. He has a 1st degree Brown belt American Kenpo. Scott has 9 years of Systema training, hand to hand combat and weapons training, and is a Combat Veteran Scout with 2nd Cavalry and Military Police officer with the 423 M.P. Company.
